Charming towel, but not designed for display! *UPDATED* Oct 09, 2011

When I buy a 'pretty' dish towel, I want to be able to hang it over the handle of my dishwasher (or stove) and DISPLAY it. Unfortunately, the recipe/design is right in the middle of this flour sack towel, making it impossible to see the full design when folded over a handle or towel bar. When it is folded and hung, only half of the design is on display... along with plenty of empty space below it. I was surprised and disappointed to discover this. I purchased 6 of these 'Gingerbread Cookie' recipe towels to be included in gift baskets for Christmas... along with the 'Apple Pie' recipe towel for myself, and if I had known these towels aren't designed in a way that they can be displayed, I would not have purchased them. Every other towel I have ever purchased that has a design on it, is made so that the design is showing on the bottom half of the towel, perfect for hanging the towel and showing the design. Not these towels, and it seems such a waste... very disappointing.
So, if you are considering any of the 'recipe' towels from this line, thinking they will be cute when hanging on your dishwasher handle, or stove handle... you might want to find something else. The designs are really charming and well-done (the reason for two stars), but what is the point in paying the extra money for the design on a towel, if you won't be able to actually display it? If you are looking for a towel just to dry dishes or wipe the counter, etc., then save some money and buy a package of plain flour sack towels. The only way to display the design on these towels is to have them completely unfolded... and I don't know anyone who has a desire (or the space) to try and display a full flour sack towel, completely open and unfolded... way too big. Silly too, because there is plenty of space below the design, so it just needed to be printed lower on the towel. I can't imagine why this wasn't done);

I am changing my review to FIVE STARS based on the fabulous response and customer service I received from Mary Lake Thompson LTD! I had emailed them about my disappointment regarding the design placement, and not only did they decide to make a change in the placement of the designs on their towels (lower, so they display better), but they also replaced the towels I had purchased, with the 'updated' design placement. The towels can be folded and hung for display now, and I am very pleased with them. So, FIVE STARS for the towels, and FIVE STARS for the company, and their above-and-beyond customer service!!
